Coco Calling No.314 - A World United by a Network of Love!

We parrots occasionally have our squabbles. The occasional nip has been known to occur, or in particularly bad cases, even the extraction of a prized feather(!) But that’s usually as far as it goes. On the whole, we’re quite a sociable bunch.

In the human world, squabbles and disagreements tend to be a lot worse. And that’s because humans have invented things such as guns and bombs and missiles and huge walls, meaning that any disagreement can get totally out of hand. Jesus never wanted it to be like this, and if humans only listened to Him, and abided by His teaching, the world would be a very different place. All humanity needs to learn the two-way process of giving and receiving. And that needs to be a process which overcomes boundaries, as well as different cultures and ethnicities, and any other differences that the human race can conjure up. Repeated acts of kindness across the entire world would change the human existence in a trice. Ultimately, it all comes down to whether humans are prepared to see themselves as Jesus’ disciples. Yes, individuals on every continent that Jesus can use to exercise the Christian concepts of love and compassion. Because if this happened, we would end up with a human world united by a network of love. A global network in which all humans are givers and receivers. A world in which unconditional love is offered between different individuals and different nations and different continents.

We’re not talking about anything huge here. That love can be offered in quite small ways, - perhaps through a smile, a hug, a meal, a prayer, a listening ear, a donation, or through some practical help. You see, humans may look different to one another and have their different traditions and backgrounds. But at the end of the day, they are all sharing the experience of life on Earth together, with so many of the same obstacles and hardships and challenges along the way. Issues and disagreements will ever be solved through violence, the gun, the bomb, the missile or the building of high walls.

And let’s imagine what a world united by a network of love would look like from above, -perhaps a bit like the picture I have chosen for today’s blog!
