Coco Calling No.325 - My Wayward Owner, or a Jealous Bird?

Just when I thought I’d got my owner perfectly trained, he went off again, -and not just anywhere, but to visit some other parrots! He went to Paradise Park in Hayle, Cornwall, which is home of the World Parrot Trust. And I have photographic evidence to show that he was ‘two-timing!’
It’s all very strange, but parrots that have never met my owner before are instantly drawn to him. (Or is it that they’re really taking pity on him because of how he is?) Whatever, he clearly had his fill of ‘other birds’ and returned home with a big smile on his face. And it’s just as well that most of my feathers are already green, -otherwise, he’d have noticed I was full of jealousy. The only saving grace was that there are no Senegal Parrots at Paradise Park, - meaning that I am totally unique!
And anyway, I thought to myself, ‘do I really want to be like this?” Because feelings of jealousy do nothing but harm to the parrot that’s feeling them. And maybe they show much you really love someone. So, it was then that I decided to opt for love instead, and I spent a couple of happy hours snuggled up into my owner’s neck as we watched TV together. And so, this week’s blog comes with a happy ending!
